Groovy Scents Co. was founded in 2023 by Emily Rawls in Hartsville, SC.

We are here to take you to a world of lovely scents and entice your sense of smell.

At Groovy Scents Co., we are passionate about providing inspiration through our all-natural, soy wax candles.

Why soy wax?

Soy wax has many advantages over traditional paraffin wax. Here's why:

1. It burns longer, extending the life of your candle.

2. It burns cleaner. Paraffin wax candles, which are derived from petroleum, generate small amounts of toxins, which are known to cause cancer. Because soy wax burns entirely clean, your home's air is kept free of dangerous toxins.

3. It supports American soybean farmers and is completely renewable and biodegradable!

Overall, soy wax is far better for the economy of America, the environment, and you.

What about the fragrances?

We never use fragrance oils that include phthalates or chemicals listed on California's Proposition 65 list. Each and every one of our fragrances offer a clean burn, so your kids and pets are safe too!

We also use eco-friendly candle wicks made from natural cotton that are lead and zinc free.

Why start a business?

We love candles! We don't love the harmful chemicals used by most large candle companies. They make large quantities of candles using paraffin and harmful chemicals to achieve a significantly lower cost for a larger profit margin. When it comes to creating candles, their priorities do not include the environment and the general public's health.

We want to make sure that the candles we make are clean, affordable, long-lasting, and have some groovy names and scents that people will love for years to come!
